Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front has moved into the NW Gulf early
tonight and extends from central Louisiana to just S of
Brownsville, and is to reach from the western Florida Panhandle
to the W Bay of Campeche by early Sat afternoon. High pressure
behind front will support another round of strong northerly
winds across much of the basin, with gale force winds expected
across the west- central and SW Gulf on early Sat through Sat
night.

.OVERNIGHT...E to SE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms.

.SAT NIGHT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. N winds 30 to

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending from near 31N61W to the S
central Bahamas will stall and weaken overnight. Newly formed
Potential Tropical Cyclone Eighteen across the W Caribbean 
tonight expected to move NE across W Cuba late Sat afternoon or 
evening and become a tropical storm, then move NE across the 
Straits of Florida Sat night, reach the NW Bahamas Sun morning 
then accelerate NE and exit the N waters early Sun night. A cold 
front will move off NE Florida and GA early Sun morning and reach 
from 30N76W to central Cuba by Sun afternoon, from 31N70W to E 
central Cuba early Mon morning, and begin to stall and weaken from
28N65W to E central Cuba late Mon. Strong to gale force winds are
possible ahead of the front Sun through Mon to the S and SE of 
the tropical cyclone.
