Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from Tampa Florida to the southwest Gulf of Mexico near 18N94W will reach the far SE Gulf early on Wednesday, and move E of the area Wednesday afternoon. High pressure building in behind the front will usher in fresh to strong northerly winds across the area from through Wednesday morning, diminishing through Thursday afternoon as high pressure shifts to the NE Gulf. The high pressure will weaken Friday as another cold front moves into the NW Gulf Friday night. The front will then reach from the NE Gulf to near 24N86W to NE Yucatan Peninsula by midday Saturday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected ahead of the front. The cold front will slow down and extend from near 31N66W to near 26N72W and dissipating stationary to central Cuba Friday.
