Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from the Florida Panhandle near
30N86W to the Bay of campeche near 20N95W to 23N98W. The front
will extend from Tampa to NW Cuba Tuesday morning, and move east
of the basin by Wednesday sunset. Strong ridge in the wake of
the front will bring fresh to strong northerly winds into much
of forecast waters from Tuesday sunrise until Thursday midnight.
Winds will diminish through Thursday afternoon as the ridge
shifts to the NE Gulf. The ridge will weaken on Friday as
another cold front moves across eastern Texas, and into the NW
Gulf on Friday night.  

.THIS AFTERNOON...S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...S to SW winds 10 to 15 kt, shifting to NW to N in the
late evening and overnight. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms. 
.TUE...N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...High pres over the W Atlc will maintain fresh to 
locally strong E to SE winds today. A strong cold front will
move off the SE U.S. coast Tue morning, reach from 31N76W to the
NW  Bahamas and to NW Cuba on Wednesday morning, then begin to
weaken  as it reaches from near 31N73W to the central Bahamas
and to E  central Cuba late Wednesday night. The cold front will
continue to weaken as it reaches from 31N68W to the SE Bahamas
and to eastern Cuba Thursday morning. The cold front will extend
from 26N65W to  23N70W on Friday morning, and as a dissipating
stationary front to eastern Cuba by late Friday. Expect
scattered rainshowers and  thunder to precede the front. High
pressure in the wake of the  front will shift eastward across
the northern waters Thursday  through Friday night.
