Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Low pres near 25N84W and associated trough will
weaken as they move into the NW Gulf through tonight, allowing
associated strong winds and seas over the NE and N central Gulf
to diminish. T.S. Nate in western Caribbean near 16.9N 85.1W at
5 AM EDT is forecast to move into the southern Gulf of Mexico
overnight tonight and be near 26.4N 89.5W Sat afternoon, then
near 29.3N 89.6W early Sun morning as a hurricane just before
landfall. Nate moves well N of the area late Sun. More tranquil
marine conditions are expected early next week in the wake of
the system.

and scattered thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. E to SE winds
20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 10 ft. Numerous showers and scattered
thunderstorms.

.SYNOPSIS...Strong high pres N of the area will continue to 
support fresh to strong NE to E flow W of 72W early today. Winds
will diminish across the basin later today as the pressure 
gradient significantly relaxes. An area of low pres may develop
over the NE waters late this weekend. Elsewhere,  much more
tranquil marine conditions are expected this weekend  into early
next week.
