Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Strong NE winds over the NE Gulf will diminish
through Thu as an inverted trough moves W across S Florida into
the SE Gulf from 26N82W to 22N85W on Thu, and from 28N84W to
21N87W on Fri. Winds will increase again over the SE Gulf late
Fri ahead of Tropical Depression Sixteen currently in the SW
Caribbean. T.D Sixteen will move N through the Yucatan Channel
near 20.2N 86.3W as a tropical storm at 8 PM Fri, intensify to a
hurricane reaching near 25.5N 88.6W at 8 PM Sat, and move inland
reaching near 30.5N 87.0W at 8 PM Sun.

showers and isolated thunderstorms.

.SYNOPSIS...Strong high pres N of the area will continue to 
support fresh to strong NE to E flow W of 70W into Thu except 
near gale force across the Bahama channel overnight into early 
Thu. Winds will diminish across the basin by the end of the week
 as the pressure gradient significantly relaxes, with much more 
tranquil marine conditions this weekend.
