Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure will remain across the northern
waters through Thursday, then weaken allowing a weak cold front
to move S into the northern Gulf waters on Thursday night. The
front is expected to stall from Tampa to the deep south of Texas 
on Friday, then dissipate during the weekend as high pressure 
builds southward across the northern Gulf waters. A thermal trough
will develop each evening over the NW Yucatan Peninsula, move W 
overnight, and dissipate over the SW Gulf waters by late each 
morning.

.SYNOPSIS...A trough will extend from 31N75W SW to the central 
Bahamas through Thursday night, then become diffuse on Friday. A
 weak cold front will move off the SE United States coast on 
Friday, and stall from 29N65W to the NW Bahamas on Sunday, with 
strengthening high pressure expected N of the front. The
resultant tight pressure gradient will lead to a significant
increase of NE to E winds over the NW waters beginning on
Saturday night along  with building seas. NE swell in the
northwestern and N central  waters will subside slowly through
Friday. 

.THIS AFTERNOON...SE to S winds less than 5 kt S of 27N, and W to
NW 5 to 10 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...S winds less than 5 kt S of 27N, and SW to W 5 to
10 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.THU...S of 27N,SE to S winds less than 5 kt, shifting to E in
the late morning and afternoon. N of 27N,NW winds 5 to 10 kt.
Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.
