Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A thermal trough will develop each evening over the
NW Yucatan Peninsula, move into the SW Gulf overnight where it
will dissipate each morning. Weak high pressure will remain over
the area through Wednesday night. A cold front will move across
the northern and western Gulf waters on Thursday, and reach a
from northern Florida to the central and SW Gulf waters on
Friday.

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Maria centered at 30.6N 73.0W 957 mb at
5 AM EDT moving N or 355 degrees at 6 kt. Maximum sustained
winds have  diminished to 70 kt with gusts to 85 kt. Maria is
forecast to maintain intensity as it reaches near 31.4N 73.2W by
early this  afternoon, and lift to N of the area later in the
afternoon reaching to near 32.5N 73.3W by late tonight with
maximum  sustained winds 65 kt with gusts to 80 kt. Maria is
forecast to  reach near 33.5N 73.W by early Thursday afternoon
with same  intensity. A trough will extend SW from the N-central
waters to  the Central Bahamas in the wake of Maria through
Wednesday night,  and become diffuse on Thursday as high
pressure builds westward  across the eastern portion of the
area. A weak cold front is  expected to approach the SE United
States on Friday.

N of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft S of 27N, and 10 to 16 ft in NE swell N 
of 27N.
