Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A thermal trough will develop each evening over the
NW Yucatan Peninsula, move into the SW Gulf overnight where it
will dissipate each morning. High pressure will prevail over the
northern waters through Thursday. A cold front will move across
the northern and western Gulf waters on Thursday.

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Maria centered at 30.0N 73.0W 950 mb at
11 PM EDT moving N or 360 degrees at 7 kt. Maximum sustained
winds are 80 kt with gusts to 100 kt. Maria is forecast to reach
near 30.8N 73.2W at 8 AM EDT Mon, weaken to 75 kt gusts 90 kt
near 31.9N 73.3W at 8 PM EDT Mon, and move further from the area
near 33.0N 73.5W at 8 AM EDT Tue. A trough will extend SW from
the N-central waters to the Central Bahamas in the wake of Maria
through Wednesday night, and become diffuse on Thursday as high
pressure builds westward across the eastern portion of the area.
