Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A thermal trough will develop each evening over the
NW Yucatan Peninsula, move W-NW across the SW Gulf overnight and
dissipate over the SW Gulf waters by late each morning. High
pressure will remain over the northern waters through Wed.  

.OVERNIGHT...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SAT...NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SAT NIGHT...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Maria centered at 24.1N 71.7W 954 mb at 
11 PM EDT moving NNW or 345 degrees at 8 kt. Maximum sustained 
winds are 110 kt with gusts to 135 kt. Maria is forecast to
reach near 25.3N 72.1W at 8 AM EDT Sat, weaken to 105 kt gusts
130 kt  near 27.0N 72.4W at 8 PM EDT Sat, weaken to 100 kt gusts
120 kt  near 28.5N 72.7W at 8 AM EDT Sun, weaken to 95 kt gusts
to 115 kt near 29.7N 72.8W at 8 PM EDT Sun, weaken to 85 kt
gusts to 105  kt near 31.7N 72.4W at 8 PM EDT Mon, and weaken to
75 kt gusts to 90 kt near 33.5N 72.3W at 8 PM EDT Tue. A trough
will extend SW  from the N-central waters to the SE Bahamas in
the wake of Maria.
