Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A thermal trough will develop each evening over the
NW Yucatan Peninsula, move W-NW across the SW Gulf overnight and
dissipate over the SW Gulf waters by late each morning. High
pressure will remain over the northern waters through Wed.  

.TONIGHT...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SAT...NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Maria centered at 23.3N 71.4W 959 mb at
5 PM EDT moving NNW or 335 degrees at 8 kt. Maximum sustained
winds are 110 kt with gusts to 135 kt. Maria is forecast to
weaken to 105 kt gusts to 130 kt near 24.3N 71.8W at 2 AM EDT
Sat, near 25.9N 72.2W at 2 PM EDT Sat, weaken to 100 kt gusts
120 kt near 27.5N 72.5W at 2 AM EDT Sun, weaken to 95 kt gusts
to 115 kt near 28.8N 72.5W at 2 PM EDT Sun, weaken to 85 kt
gusts to 105 kt near 30.7N 72.0W at 2 PM EDT Mon, and weaken to
75 kt gusts to 90 kt near 32.5N 72.0W at 2 PM EDT Tue. A trough
will extend SW from the N-central waters to the SE Bahamas in
the wake of Maria.
