Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weak pressure pattern will prevail through the
next several days. The only exception will be associated with a
thermal trough moving off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula and
over the eastern Bay of Campeche each night beginning on Friday.

.TODAY...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers
and isolated thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI...E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers
and isolated thunderstorms. 
.FRI NIGHT...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less,
building to 3 ft after midnight. Scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms. 
.SAT...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft in the morning,
subsiding to 2 ft or less.

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Jose is centered near 25.1N 66.5W 986 MB
at 5 AM EDT moving W at 3 kt. Maximum sustained winds 65 kt with
 gusts to 80 kt. Jose will weaken to a tropical storm later
today and move near 25.9N 68.9W early Fri, then near 27.8N 71.5W
early Sat, then near 29.7N 72.3W early Sun while
re-strengthening back  to a minimal hurricane. Jose will then
move N of our waters early  next week. A trough will extend to
the SE Bahamas and SE Cuba in  the wake of Jose. A ridge will
build SW from the N central  Atlantic to the eastern portion of
the basin Friday through early  next week.

.TONIGHT...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
