A weak pressure pattern will set up across the Gulf in the wake of Irma through the remainder of the week. Jose is expected to weaken slightly as it moves to near 27.2N 67.1W this evening, to near 26.4N 66.0W early on Wednesday, with maximum sustained winds 60 kt gusts to 75 kt, to near 25.7N 65.5W early Wednesday evening, before turning WSW and begins to intensify near 25.3N 66.0W early Thursday with maximum sustained winds 65 kt gusts to 80 kt, then turn NW reaching near 26.0N 69.0W early Friday with maximum sustained winds 70 kt gusts 85 kt and continue NW with slight strengthening expected through Saturday. High pressure from the central Atlantic will extend southwestward to the far eastern waters in the wake of Jose Friday through Saturday.
