Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Post-Tropical Cyclone Irma over northern Alabama
will continue to track N NW and further inland through Thursday.
A moderate W to NW flow over the northern waters will become a
gentle S to SW flow on Wednesday. A weak pressure pattern will
set up across the Gulf in the wake of Irma through the remainder
of the week. Northerly swell over the NE and N Central waters
will gradually subside through this evening.  

.THIS AFTERNOON...SW to W winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 6 ft. 
.TONIGHT...S to SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.WED...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft in the morning, subsiding to
2 ft or less. Isolated thunderstorms. 
.WED NIGHT...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Jose centered near 27.5N 68.3W 987 mb at 
11 AM EDT moving E at 4 kt. Maximum sustained winds 65 kt gusts 
to 80 kt. Jose is expected to weaken slightly as it moves to
near 27.2N 67.1W this evening, to near 26.4N 66.0W early on 
Wednesday, with maximum sustained winds 60 kt gusts to 75 kt, to
 near 25.7N 65.5W early Wednesday evening, before turning WSW
and  begins to intensify near 25.3N 66.0W early Thursday with
maximum  sustained winds 65 kt gusts to 80 kt, then turn NW
reaching near  26.0N 69.0W early Friday with maximum sustained
winds 70 kt gusts 85 kt and continue NW with slight
strengthening expected through Saturday. High pressure from the
central Atlantic will extend  southwestward to the far eastern
waters in the wake of Jose  Friday through Saturday. Swell from
Jose will dominate the forecast waters through Saturday. The
swell will begin to  propagate southward through the SE waters
on Wednesday. 

.THIS AFTERNOON...W winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SW to W 10 to
15 kt N of 27N. Seas 8 to 12 ft in mixed NE and SE swell N of 27N,
and 5 to 7 ft S of 27N. Scattered showers and isolated 
thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...W winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to S after midnight. Seas
7 to 10 ft in E to Se swell N of 27N, and 4 to 5 ft S of 27N.
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.
.WED...SW winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to NE in the afternoon. Seas
4 to 6 ft in E to SE swell N of 27N, and 4 to 5 ft S of 27N. Scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms.
.WED NIGHT...E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered showers
and isolated thunderstorms S of 27N.
