Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Katia centered near 20.3N 97.5W
1001 mb at 5 AM EDT moving W at 2 kt. Maximum winds 35 kt with
gusts to 45 kt. Katia will dissipate inland through this
afternoon. Major Hurricane Irma is forecast to enter the eastern
Straits of Florida today, then turn northward across the Florida
peninsula tonight and Sunday, bringing tropical storm force and
hurricane force winds to eastern portions of the Straits of
Florida and Florida Bay and far SE Gulf late today into Sun.
Tropical storm and possible hurricane conditions will spread
north along the far eastern Gulf through Mon, improving rapidly
through Mon night.

.TODAY...HURRICANE CONDITIONS EXPECTED. N to NE winds 30 to
35 kt, increasing to 45 to 50 kt in the afternoon. Seas 8 to
15 ft. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.

90 kt, increasing to 90 to 110 kt after midnight. Seas 9 to
18 ft, building to 12 to 23 ft after midnight. Scattered showers

.SUN...HURRICANE CONDITIONS EXPECTED. N winds 90 to 110 kt. Seas

.SYNOPSIS...Major Hurricane Irma near 22.5N 78.7W 930 mb at 5 AM
 EDT moving WNW at 10 kt. Maximum sustained winds 135 kt gusts
165 kt. Irma will move up the Florida peninsula Sun and Mon,
reaching near 27.7N 82.4 by Mon morning, before continuing
northward into  Georgia while weakening to a tropical storm.
Farther E, Major  Hurricane Jose near 17.5N 60.3W 940 mb moving
WNW at 11 kt.  Maximum sustained winds 130 kt gusts to 160 kt.
Jose will approach the northern Leeward Islands today, then on
to 21.5N  65.9W Sun afternoon. Jose will continue to 23.1N 67.6W
Mon  morning. Jose will then move slowly to the N then NE Tue
and Wed, NE of the Bahamas and S of Bermuda. Jose is then
expected to  meander over the eastern zones Thu and Fri.

27N, and NE to E 90 to 110 kt N of 27N. Seas 8 to 20 ft in E to

winds 90 to 110 kt. N of 27N,E winds 85 to 105 kt, diminishing
