Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A surface low has developed near 21.5N96W 1012 mb
and is along a low level NNW to SSE orientated trough across the
W-Central and SW Gulf waters. The low is expected to drift SE
along the trough through Thu and then meander, possibly
developing into a tropical cyclone. A weak cold front will sink
SE across the NW and N Gulf Thu through Fri then drift NW Sat.
Hurricane Irma is forecast to approach the Straits of Florida
Fri night, and reach near 24.0N 81.0W Sat night as a major
hurricane.

showers and isolated thunderstorms.

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge will build W and meander from Bermuda to
Port Canaveral through Wed. Major hurricane Irma located at
16.6N 57.0W 937 mb at 0900 UTC moving W at 12 kt with maximum 
sustained winds 130 kt gusts to 160 kt. Irma will being to turn
more WNW today and reach near 17.0N 58.9W this afternoon, near 
17.7N 61.5W tonight, near 18.6N 64.2W Wed afternoon, near 19.6N 
67.0W Wed night, near 21.2N 72.5W Thu night, near 22.4N 77.2W
Fri night then turn NW and reach near 24.0N 81.0W Sat night.
Large E and SE swell will begin to spread NW across the SE
waters today and reach 75W by early Wed.
