Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Recently upgraded Hurricane Harvey is centered near
24.4N 93.6W 979 mb at 2 PM EDT, moving N-NW, or 335 degrees at 10 
kt. Maximum sustained winds are 75 kt gusting to 90 kt. Harvey is 
forecast to reach near 26.0N 95.3W Fri morning before reaching 
27.3N 96.3W Fri night off the coast of Texas, then move inland 
late Fri night. Harvey will meander inland thereafter, possibly 
moving back over Gulf coastal waters. 

.TONIGHT...W to NW winds less than 5 kt, shifting to SE to S
after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI...S to SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.FRI NIGHT...W winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to NE in the late
evening and overnight. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms.

.SYNOPSIS...A surface ridge will extend along 28N through Fri, 
then retreat E ahead of weak low pressure emerging off the Florida
coast by Sat. The low pressure may deepen as it moves N of the 
area early next week.

15 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 ft. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.
