Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weak Atlc ridge extending westward along 27N and
into the central Gulf will persist through Fri. Moderate to
locally fresh southerly flow across the W half of basin will
continue through Wed night, then begin to diminish late through
Sat as the ridge slowly lifts northward.  

.TODAY...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TONIGHT...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...The northern portion of tropical wave in the Mona
Passage will move W to the Windward Passage by early Fri, then W
of the region through Sat, accompanied by fresh to locally
strong winds and seas to 8 ft S of 22N. Low pressure in the
tropical Atlc will pass N of the Leeward Islands late Sat,
possibly as a tropical cyclone, and reach the southern Bahamas
by early Mon bringing strong winds and building seas to the
waters S of 25N. A ridge along 28N will move N of the area early
next week. 

.TODAY...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 5 to 10 kt N
of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 5 to
10 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 5 to 10 kt
N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI NIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S
