Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weak Atlantic ridge extending westward along 27N
and into the central Gulf will persist through Fri. Moderate to
locally fresh Southerly flow across the W half of basin will
continue through tonight, then begin to diminish late on Thursday
through Saturday as the ridge slowly lifts northward.


.THIS AFTERNOON...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.THU...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.THU NIGHT...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Ridge has become more established along 27N. The 
ridge will shift N to near 28N Thursday through Friday, to 29N
on Saturday and to along 31N on Sunday. The northern portion of
a tropical wave located over the far SE waters will move across
the remainder of the far southern waters through Friday. Fresh
to locally strong easterly winds will accompany the wave. A
stronger tropical wave or low pressure system is expected to
move across the same waters beginning late on Saturday, and
reach the waters near the SE Bahamas on Sunday. 

.THIS AFTERNOON...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S to SW
5 to 10 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 5 to 10 kt N
of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. Slight chance of thunderstorms. 
.THU...E winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 5 to 10 kt N of 27N.
