Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weak Atlantic ridge extending westward along 27N
and into the central Gulf will persist through Fri. Moderate to
locally fresh Southerly flow across the W half of basin will
continue through Wednesday night, then begin to diminish late on
Thursday through Saturday as the ridge lifts northward.  

.OVERNIGHT...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.WED...E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered showers
and isolated thunderstorms. 
.WED NIGHT...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms.

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Gert is N of the area between Bermuda and
Cape Hatteras moving NNE 10 kt. Winds and seas on S periphery of
Gert will continue to diminish overnight in waters N of 28N. A 
ridge will build westward along 27N through Wednesday evening, 
then shift N to near 28N Thursday through Friday and change 
little through Saturday. A tropical wave will pass across the
far SE portion tonight into Wednesday. A stronger tropical wave
will pass across the same waters Friday night into Saturday.
Associated low pressure may form along the wave. 

.OVERNIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less,
building to 3 ft after midnight. Isolated thunderstorms. 
.WED...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S to SW 10 to
15 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 ft early in the morning, subsiding to 2 ft
or less. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.WED NIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 5 to 10 kt
N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. Slight chance of thunderstorms. 
.THU...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S 5 to 10 kt N of
