Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weak ridge will extend westward from the Atlantic
across the Gulf through next week. Low pressure expected to
strengthen west of the area will combine with the ridge and lead
to an increase of southerly winds Tue and Wed in the far western
Gulf.  

.THIS AFTERNOON...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.MON...S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.MON NIGHT...S winds less than 5 kt, shifting to SE in the late 
evening and overnight. Seas 2 ft or less.

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Depression Eight will stay E of 75W through
the period. High pressure will build westward along 27N through 
Thu in the wake of the tropical storm. The combination of central 
Atlantic high pressure interacting with the northern part of a 
strong central Atlantic tropical wave will result in increasing 
winds and seas S of 22N beginning on Wednesday.
