Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical cyclone Franklin continues to weaken over
Mexico. A ridge will meander westward from the Florida Big Bend
across the northern Gulf waters through Mon with a surface high
developing along the ridge during the late afternoons. A trough
will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula during the evenings,
move west during the overnight hours, and dissipate over the SW
Gulf by late each morning.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A trough of low pressure over the Bahamas and the
Straits of Florida will drift westward over Florida through Fri
while weakening. Another trough of low pressure located about
250 miles northeast of the northern Leeward Islands will move
across the waters north of Puerto Rico on Fri reaching the SE
Bahamas on Sat, and the central Bahamas on Sun. Some tropical
development of this system is possible by this weekend while the
trough moves northwestward over the western Atlantic.

.THIS AFTERNOON...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SE to S
10 to 15 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 3 to 5 ft N
of 27N. 
.TONIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 10 to 15 kt
N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 3 to 5 ft N of 27N.
