Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Franklin near 20.2N 93.9W at 11 AM
EDT moving W or 270 DEG at 11 kt with maximum sustained winds
60 kt gusts to 75 kt. Franklin will strengthen to a hurricane at
8 PM near 20.1N 95.6W, and move inland Mexico near Veracruz late
tonight into early Thursday morning with conditions improving
across the SW Gulf throughout Thu. A thermal trough will develop
over the Yucatan Peninsula during the evenings beginning on Thu,
move slowly westward during the overnight hours, and dissipate
over the SW Gulf by late each morning. A surge of fresh to
locally strong winds will accompany this trough.

.SYNOPSIS...A surface trough extending from 27N73W to 23N77W
will reach the NW Bahamas this evening and move across south
Florida late tonight and Thu. A tropical wave will move across
the SE waters beginning this evening through Fri, reaching the
SE  Bahamas by Sat morning. Fresh to locally strong winds are 
expected during the evening hours just north of Hispaniola, 
including the approach to the Windward Passage. 

.THIS AFTERNOON...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and E to SE
5 to 10 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less S of 27N, and 3 to 5 ft N
of 27N.
