Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A ridge will dominate the Gulf waters through the weekend as a series of troughs drifts E across the NE Gulf. A trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula during the evening hours before pushing offshore into the SW Gulf each night, then move W across the SW Gulf during the overnight hours, and dissipate by late each morning. A weak cold front will reach the northern Gulf waters on Sat night, then stall from the Florida Big Bend to 26N92W to the Texas Coastal Bend late Sun night with a surface low developing along the front over the NE Gulf late Sun night.
