A weak cold front is over the NW Gulf. Ahead of it, fresh southerly winds are over the central Gulf. The front will stall this morning, then continue eastward as a weak cold front reaching from the Florida panhandle to the central Gulf by early this evening. The front will weaken further to a trough as it reaches the southeastern Gulf Mon and dissipates late Mon. An upper-level trough will help generate scattered showers and thunderstorms over most of the eastern Gulf waters today. Some of this activity may contain frequent lightning and strong gusty winds. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... An Ashfall Advisory is in effect for La Soufriere volcano on the island of St. Vincent near 13.3N 61.2W. Mariners transiting the waters under the emitted ash should exercise caution. Fresh southeast winds will continue over the northwestern Caribbean through the period, while fresh to strong east to southeast winds continue in the Gulf of Honduras. Winds will pulse to strong speeds over a small area near the coast of Colombia during the afternoons and at night through Wed. Elsewhere, generally moderate to fresh east winds will change little through Thu night. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... Fresh to strong southerly winds east of Florida will shift eastward through Mon ahead of a cold front that will move off the southeastern U.S. coast tonight.
