Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

High pressure over the eastern United States and broad low
pressure over western Caribbean will support fresh to strong
easterly winds over the eastern Gulf this morning. Gentle to 
moderate winds will prevail elsewhere through Sun. 

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Troughing across the western Caribbean from Yucatan to 12N80W is
producing scattered showers and thunderstorms east of the trough
axis. The trough will drift westward over the next couple of
days, enhancing shower and thunderstorm activity in the western
Caribbean. Winds and seas are expected to increase south of the
Windward Islands on Sat. 

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Hurricane Epsilon was located near 28.5N 56.8W 987 mb at 11 PM 
EDT moving NW at 11 kt. Maximum sustained winds were 65 kt with
gusts to 80 kt. Epsilon will move to 29.2N 58.5W this morning, 
29.9N 59.8W this evening, 31.0N 60.6W Thu morning, then north of
the area on Thu. The gradient between high pressure over the 
western Atlantic and Hurricane Epsilon will maintain strong winds
and large seas over the western waters through Fri. Long-period 
east-northeast swell will impact the waters north and northeast 
of the Bahamas through Fri night.
