Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

Tropical Storm Nestor near 28.8N 86.3W 998 mb at 0600 UTC moving
NE at 20 kt. Maximum sustained winds 50 kt gusts 60 kt. Nestor 
will continue racing NE overnight and move inland near 30.2N 
85.2W across the central Florida Panhandle this morning. Marine 
conditions will improve rapidly across the NE portions of the 
basin tonight and Sun as Nestor accelerates off to the NE. A 
cold front will reach the NW Gulf Mon night, and extend across 
the basin from northern Florida to NE Mexico on Tue night.

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Moderate to fresh trade winds will prevail across most of the 
the basin through Wed night. Fresh SE winds are likely near the 
Yucatan Channel this morning as Tropical Storm Nestor moves NE 
across the Gulf of Mexico. An active tropical wave south of 
Puerto Rico will move westward across the central and W 
Caribbean through early next week.

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

A weak cold front extends from 28N65W to 25N74W, then continues 
as a stationary front into central Florida. The front will
dissipate west of 75W later today. Tropical Storm Nestor in the 
NE Gulf of Mexico will move NE across the SE United States this 
weekend, and gale force S to SW winds north of 30N ahead of it 
across NW Atlc waters tonight and Sun. Weak high pressure will 
prevail over the area Mon and Tue. A cold front will move off the
coast of N Florida Tue evening.
