Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

A trough across the northeastern Gulf will move northeast of the
area later today. Weak ridging northeast of the Gulf will
produce generally quiescent winds and seas for the next several
days. Smoke and haze from ongoing agricultural fires in Mexico
could reduce visibilities in the western Gulf and the Bay of
Campeche.  

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

The pressure gradient between Bermuda High north of the area and
low pressure over Colombia is supporting strong to near gale
force NE to E winds over the south-central Caribbean as well as
strong E winds over Gulf of Honduras today. Winds will diminish
and decrease in areal coverage Saturday through early next week
as the high pressure shifts eastward and the pressure gradient
weakens.  

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

A trough near the NE Florida and Georgia border will move
northeastward today. The Bermuda High will support pulses of
fresh to strong winds north of Hispaniola during the evening 
through Sat. A weak cold front will approach northern forecast 
waters Mon, then push eastward into the west-central Atlantic on
Tuesday.
