A stationary front extending E to W across the southern Florida Keys to near 24N91W is weakening but to the W has begun to lift back to the north across the central and eastern Gulf as a warm front. This motion will continue through Wed night with active weather occurring along and N of the warm front in unstable SW flow aloft. Moderate return flow will dominate the western Gulf of Mexico from Wed through Fri, as high pressure from the Atlantic Ocean builds westward across the area. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... High pressure over the central Atlantic ahead of a cold front will continue to shift east and northeast through tonight, as it will be replaced by stronger high pressure that will build east and southeastward across the western Atlantic behind the same cold front through Wed night. This will maintain fresh to strong trade winds across the central Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Honduras during the next several days. Strong winds off the coast of Colombia will increase to gale force during the overnight hours early this morning and then again tonight. Long period north to northeast swell in the Atlantic will subside gradually through Wed night, before another round of long period northwest to north swell propagates through those same waters beginning on Thu and continuing through Sat. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front from near 26.5N65W through the central Bahamas and then across the southern Florida Keys will become stationary today and begin to weaken along 26N through tonight.
