A cold front extending from south Florida to the Yucatan Peninsula will move E of the area late today. A band of showers and tstms is associated with the front. Winds and seas could be higher near tstms. High pressure in the wake of the front will dominate the Gulf waters through Sat. The aforementioned cold front is forecast to become nearly stationary across the NW Caribbean, then lift N toward the Straits of Florida and the Gulf of Mexico on Sun. On this day, a low pressure could develop along the frontal boundary over the SW Gulf, then move ENE toward Florida and the SW N Atlantic on Mon. High pressure will build again across the region behind the exiting low early next week.
