A stationary front extends W from Florida Bay to a 1017 mb surface low at 26N96W, with the stationary front continuing S to the Bay of Campeche. The low will meander through tonight, then move N on Fri, and then NE on Fri night across the N-central gulf dragging the front E again as a cold front that will reach the central gulf waters on Sat. A stronger cold front will move SE off the Texas coast on Sun, reach from the Florida Panhandle to the Bay of Campeche on Mon, then stall across the far SE waters on Tue. Strong N winds will spread S behind the cold front on Mon, increasing to minimal gale force across the far W central waters and along the Mexican coast near Veracruz Mon into Mon night with winds forecast to diminish to a fresh N breeze across the SE gulf by Tue night. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Fresh to locally strong trades are forecast across the tropical waters E of the Windwards beginning on Sat night. Strong nocturnal trades are forecast to resume along the NW coast of Colombia on Sun night. Otherwise moderate trades are expected N of 17N, while trades are forecast S of 17N through the period. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front extending SW from 31N69W to Port Canaveral Florida will race SE and merge this evening with a weakening cold front extending from 29N65W to the Florida Straits. A surface low will develop near the northern Bahamas along the merged front on Fri, and strengthen as it races N on Fri night into Sat with gale conditions and large seas developing N of the Bahamas on Fri into Fri evening. The low will drag a cold front across the northern waters on Sat and Sun. A third cold front will move off the SE United states coast on Mon evening accompanied by a strong wind shift.
