A cold front currently extending SW from the Florida Panhandle to the Bay of Campeche will slow today and extend SW from the Florida Big Bend to a frontal wave at 24N94W, becoming stationary SE into the Central Bay of Campeche by sunset. A secondary cold front will surge SE into the NW Gulf waters this evening, overrun most of the initial front along a position from the Straits of Florida to near Veracruz, Mexico on Mon evening. A NW to SE orientated trough will set up across the far SW Gulf waters on Mon where it will meander through Thu. Remnants of the merged front will lift N on Tue and Wed reaching the NW and N- Central coastal plains on Thu and enhance convection along its boundary. Strong NW winds along the coast of Old Mexico near 19N96W at sunrise this morning will quickly diminish by mid morning. A strong N-NE breeze will develop behind the secondary cold front tonight into early Mon, with these conditions shifting SW to along the coast of Veracruz briefly this evening. Expect moderate to locally fresh SE flow N of the remnant front as it lifts N on Tue and Wed. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Subtropical Atlc high pressure is shifting southward effectively tightening the pressure gradient across the area, and will result in the trades pulsing to minimal gale force just off the coast of Colombia through tonight. Although the pressure gradient will relax some on Mon, still expect strong trades over the Central and SW Caribbean through Thu, with near gale force nocturnal winds near the coast of Colombia. Fresh to locally strong NE winds are expected through the Windward Passage on Tue and Wed. Large E swell will build seas to 9 ft E of the Lesser Antilles along 55W beginning on Mon night, with these swells reaching the E Atlc passages on Tue evening and continuing through Thu evening. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... Fresh E winds will continue across the tropics N of the Greater Antilles through this evening, then diminish as a cold front moves off the NE Florida coast accompanied by fresh to locally strong SW-W-NW wind shift across the waters N of 30N, with seas building briefly to 7 ft near the strong winds. The front will stall from 29N65W to the Northern Bahamas on Tue, then gradually weaken through Thu as the frontal remnants lift N. $$ .WARNINGS...Any changes impacting coastal NWS offices will be coordinated through AWIPS II Collaboration Chat, or by telephone: .GULF OF MEXICO...
