A surface trough is over the eastern Gulf. Latest surface observations indicate moderate to fresh winds on either side of the trough from 24N to 26N. Light to gentle winds prevail elsewhere. Seas are in the 1-2 ft range over the northeast Gulf with seas in the 2-3 ft range prevailing elsewhere. The trough will drift slowly westward through the middle of next week. A cold front will move into the NW Gulf late Thursday. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A dissipating stationary front extends from eastern Cuba to eastern Honduras. Broad troughing continues over the southwestern Caribbean. Latest surface observations indicate moderate to fresh winds off the coast of Nicaragua as well as the south central Caribbean. Light to gentle winds prevail elsewhere across the Caribbean as well as the tropical N Atlantic forecast waters. Seas are in the 4-6 ft range over the south central and southwest Caribbean. Seas in the 2-4 ft range prevail elsewhere in the Caribbean and 5-6 ft over the tropical N Atlc forecast zones. The front will dissipate today, while the broad trough will continue to linger the next several days. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front extends from near 31N67W across the central Bahamas into eastern Cuba. Latest surface observations indicate moderate to fresh winds N of 30N and east of the front. Gentle to moderate winds prevail elsewhere N of 29N as well as S of 22N, with light to gentle winds prevailing elsewhere. Seas are in the 4-6 ft range over the eastern waters, 3-5 ft elsewhere outside the Bahamas, and 1-2 ft W of the Bahamas. The front will slowly drift eastward today while dissipating.
