High pressure prevails over the forecast waters. Latest surface observations indicate light to gentle winds prevail over the area. Seas are in the 1-2 ft range over the NE Gulf, and 2-3 ft elsewhere. High pressure will prevail over the forecast waters through midweek before retreating eastward. This will enable a cold front to move off the coast of Texas into the NW Gulf wed evening. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A cold front is moving slowly across the NW waters while broad troughing prevails over the central Caribbean. Latest surface observations indicate fresh winds off the coast of Nicaragua. Light to gentle winds prevail over the NW Caribbean while gentle to moderate winds prevail over the remainder of the Caribbean waters as well as the tropical N Atlantic forecast zones. Seas are in the 4-6 ft range off the coast of Nicaragua, 2-3 ft over the NW Caribbean, 3-5 ft over the remainder of the Caribbean, and 5-6 ft over the tropical N Atlantic forecast waters. The trough will prevail over the central Caribbean for the next several days. The cold front will slowly wash out over the western Caribbean through Sunday. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...
