A thermal trough will develop late each afternoon over the Yucatan Peninsula, and shift w across the southwestern gulf waters, generally to s of 24N between 90W and 93W, during the overnight hours, and gradually lose identity along about 94W late each morning. Expect a ne-e-se 15-25 kt wind shift along the trough axis, with seas building to 6 ft. A front across the far se gulf waters is currently drifting wnw as a weakening warm front, and should lose identity later this morning. A surface high will meander over the far ne waters through Tue night with fresh southerly return flow, and 3 to 5 ft seas, expected over the w gulf through Sun night, except for an embedded swatch of strong se winds expected along the Tx coastal bend tonight. Moderate se return flow forecast over the western gulf on Mon and Tue nights. Light to moderate anticyclonic flow will develop e of 88W this afternoon, with little change then forecast through Tue night. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Atlc high pressure will support strong e trades, with 7-11 ft seas, across the central Caribbean with moderate to locally fresh trades, and 3 to 6 ft seas, over the western and eastern portion of the the discussion area through Tue night. The only exception is strong e trades will develop across the Gulf of Honduras during the overnight hours. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front extending from 31N72W to the nw Bahamas will continue e stalling from near Bermuda to the nw Bahamas on Sat, and gradually washout over the upcoming weekend. An e to w ridge along position 30N55W to 24N80W will shift to a position from 28N55W to 25N74W late Sat, and extend e to w along 27N by late Sun where it will meander through Tue night. Moderate to fresh easterlies forecast to set up s of 23N by early next week, except becoming a strong e breeze along the n coast of Hispaniola during the evenings.
