For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180W:

An area of low pressure is located around 600 miles 
south- southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. This location is further south 
from earlier this evening. Recent flare up of deep convection has 
increased the chance for formation to 40 percent over the weekend.  
Some gradual development remains possible for early next week.
The system continues to move west around 10 mph. 
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected during the next 5 days.
