ATLANTIC STORMS OF 1964

The following is the directory structure used in the Hurricane Wallet Digital Archives.
The first level of subdirectory is the Storm basin(ATL) and the Year and all directories
subordinate will have data for storms which occurred in that year.  The README.TXT
in the ATL1964 directory is the directory structure for the 1964 digital archives.

The second level of subdirectories are labeled by the storm name.  The 1964 storms
were unnamed Tropical Storm (TS) One, TS2, Abby, Brenda, Cleo, Dora, Ethel,
Florence, Gladys, Hilda, Isbell, and TS12.  The README.TXT files in these level of 
directories list and summariz the files archived.

The third level of directories are labeled by a name, acronym or mnemonic related to the data
contained in that directory.  Types of files are *.GIF for Graphics files, *.TXT for ASCII Text
files, and *.WPD for WordPerfect files.

 |__MODELOUT - output from the models
 |__RECONFIX - reconnaissance aircraft fixes of the storm's center
 |__RECONPLT - plotted data from aircraft reconnaisance of tropical cyclones
 |__PRELOC   - local WBAS, WFO, WFSO, WFO or other post storm reports
 |__PRENHC   - preliminary report from NHC
 |__OPLTRACK - maps of the storm track  
 |__RADARDAT - radar reports
 |__RADARPIC - radar pictures
 |__RAIN     - rainfall data
 |__SATPIC   - satellite pictures
 |__SLOSHDAT - storm surge maps or model data
 |__SLOSHPIC - storm surge pictures
