FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

1. A WEAK SURFACE LOW LOCATED ABOUT 950 MILES WEST OF THE CAPE VERDE
ISLANDS IS INTERACTING WITH A LARGER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IN THE
MIDDLE AND UPPER LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE.  DISORGANIZED SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS REMAIN WELL TO THE EAST OF THE SURFACE LOW
DUE TO STRONG UPPER-LEVEL WINDS.  THESE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN
STRONG...AND THERE IS A LOW CHANCE...10 PERCENT...OF A TROPICAL
CYCLONE FORMING FROM THIS AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER DURING THE NEXT
48 HOURS.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.
