DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 200 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Fabio was
located near latitude 21.5 North, longitude 129.0 West. Fabio is
moving toward the west-northwest near 14 mph (22 km/h).  The
cyclone is forecast to continue moving west-northwestward at a
slower forward speed for the next couple of days, and then turn
toward the west by the end of the weekend.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Weakening is forecast and Fabio is expected to degenerate into a
remnant low later today.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).


HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND

SURF:  Swells generated by Fabio are affecting portions of the
coasts of southern California and the Baja California Peninsula.
These swells are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip
current conditions.  For additional information, please consult
products from your local weather office.
