SUMMARY OF 800 PM PDT...0300 UTC...INFORMATION ---------------------------------------------- LOCATION...22.1N 115.6W ABOUT 370 MI...590 KM W OF CABO SAN LUCAS MEXICO MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...35 MPH...55 KM/H PRESENT MOVEMENT...WNW OR 285 DEGREES AT 7 MPH...11 KM/H MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1007 MB...29.74 INCHES WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Norma was located near latitude 22.1 North, longitude 115.6 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the west-northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h). The remnant low should gradually turn northward during the next day or so. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. The cyclone should gradually spin down over the next day or two. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
