DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK
------------------------------
At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression
Fifteen-E was located near latitude 16.0 North, longitude 125.3
West.  The depression is moving toward the west near 3 mph (6
km/h).  A slow west-southwestward motion is expected tonight,
followed by a gradual turn toward the west and then north on
Saturday and Sunday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the
depression is expected to become a tropical storm on Saturday.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
