At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kay was
located near latitude 21.5 North, longitude 115.3 West. Kay is
moving toward the west-northwest near 8 mph (13 km/h), and this
general motion should continue through Monday. A turn toward the
west is expected by Tuesday.
Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 50 mph (85 km/h) with
higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast today, but
weakening should begin on Monday. Kay is forecast to become a
remnant low on Tuesday.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km)
from the center.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
