DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ivette was
located near latitude 16.7 North, longitude 136.4 West. Ivette is
moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this
general motion is expected to continue through Sunday night.  A
turn toward the west is forecast on Monday.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 45 mph (75 km/h) with
higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast during the next 48
hours, and Ivette is expected to be a tropical depression by Sunday
night or Monday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
