DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ivette was
located near latitude 15.4 North, longitude 132.6 West. Ivette is
moving toward the west near 10 mph (17 km/h).  The tropical cyclone
is expected to turn toward the west-northwest by tomorrow at about
the same forward speed.

Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
