DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ivette was
located near latitude 15.5 North, longitude 131.8 West.  Ivette is
moving toward the west near 13 mph (20 km/h).  A west-northwestward
motion at a slightly slower forward speed is expected to begin
tonight and continue through Sunday.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 60 mph (95 km/h) with
higher gusts.  Slight strengthening is possible through Saturday.
Weakening should occur Saturday night and Sunday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
