DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Georgette was
located near latitude 13.9 North, longitude 121.4 West.  Georgette
is moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h), and this
motion is expected to continue through Sunday.  A turn toward the
northwest and a decrease in forward speed are forecast Sunday night.

Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph (100 km/h) with higher
gusts.  Some strengthening is forecast during the next day or so,
and Georgette is expected to become a hurricane later today or
tonight.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 999 mb (29.50 inches).
