DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Estelle was
located near latitude 18.3 North, longitude 116.5 West.  Estelle is
moving toward the west-northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h), and this
general motion with some increase in forward speed is expected
over the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 65 mph (100 km/h)
with higher gusts.  Some strengthening is possible during the next
day or so, and Estelle still could become a hurricane on Tuesday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 160 miles (260 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 993 mb (29.33 inches).
