DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

AT 800 AM PDT...1500 UTC...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM JULIETTE WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 25.7 NORTH...LONGITUDE 113.1 WEST.  JULIETTE
IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHWEST NEAR 22 MPH...35 KM/H...BUT IS
EXPECTED TO SLOW DOWN LATER TODAY.  A TURN TO THE WEST-NORTHWEST
WITH AN ADDITIONAL DECREASE IN FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED EARLY
FRIDAY.  ON THE FORECAST TRACK...THE CENTER OF JULIETTE WILL
CONTINUE MOVING ALONG OR NEAR THE WEST COAST OF THE BAJA CALIFORNIA
PENINSULA THROUGH THIS EVENING.
  
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED TO NEAR 40 MPH...65
KM/H...WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  ADDITIONAL WEAKENING IS FORECAST AND 
THE SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO BECOME A TROPICAL DEPRESSION LATER TODAY. 
JULIETTE IS FORECAST TO BECOME A REMNANT LOW TONIGHT OR FRIDAY.
