LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 19.1 NORTH...LONGITUDE 115.2 WEST. MIRIAM IS
MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHWEST NEAR 5 MPH...7 KM/H.  THE CYCLONE SHOULD
TURN TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHWEST OR NORTH AT A SLIGHTLY FASTER
FORWARD SPEED DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO.
 
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 80 MPH...130 KM/H...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS.  MIRIAM IS A CATEGORY ONE HURRICANE ON THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON
HURRICANE WIND SCALE.  SOME WEAKENING IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 48
HOURS...AND MIRIAM IS EXPECTED TO BECOME A TROPICAL STORM ON
WEDNESDAY.
 
HURRICANE FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 35 MILES...55 KM...FROM
THE CENTER...AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 105
MILES...165 KM.
 
ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 983 MB...29.03 INCHES.
