NEAR LATITUDE 17.7 NORTH...LONGITUDE 112.9 WEST.  MIRIAM IS MOVING
TOWARD THE NORTHWEST NEAR 12 MPH...19 KM/H.  THIS GENERAL MOTION
WITH A DECREASE IN FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 24
HOURS...FOLLOWED BY A TURN TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHWEST AND NORTH
LATE TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.
 
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE INCREASED TO NEAR 120 MPH...195
KM/H...WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  MIRIAM IS A CATEGORY THREE HURRICANE ON
THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON HURRICANE WIND SCALE.  SOME ADDITIONAL
STRENGTHENING IS POSSIBLE TODAY...BUT A GRADUAL WEAKENING IS
FORECAST TO BEGIN ON TUESDAY.
 
HURRICANE-FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 30 MILES...45 KM...FROM
THE CENTER...AND TROPICAL-STORM-FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 115
MILES...185 KM.
 
THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 958 MB...28.29 INCHES.

SURF...SWELLS GENERATED BY MIRIAM WILL AFFECT THE SOUTH AND WEST
COASTS OF THE SOUTHERN BAJA PENINSULA DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF
