...JULIO CONTINUES TOWARD SOUTHERN BAJA CALIFORNIA PENINSULA...
 
A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT ALONG THE COAST 
OF THE BAJA PENINSULA FROM BAHIA MAGDALENA ON THE WEST COAST 
AROUND THE PENINSULA NORTHWARD TO LORETO ON THE EAST COAST.
A TROPICAL STORM WARNING MEANS THAT TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS 
ARE EXPECTED WITHIN THE WARNING AREA WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS.
 
A TROPICAL STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT ALONG THE WEST COAST OF
BAJA CALIFORNIA NORTH OF BAHIA MAGDALENA TO PUNTA ABREOJOS...AND
ALONG THE EAST COAST NORTH OF LORETO TO MULEGE.  A TROPICAL STORM
WATCH MEANS THAT TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE WITHIN THE
WATCH AREA...GENERALLY WITHIN 36 HOURS.
 
FOR STORM INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO YOUR AREA...INCLUDING POSSIBLE
INLAND WATCHES AND WARNINGS...PLEASE MONITOR PRODUCTS ISSUED
BY YOUR LOCAL WEATHER OFFICE.
 
AT 500 AM PDT...1200Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM JULIO WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 21.9 NORTH...LONGITUDE 109.8 WEST OR ABOUT
85 MILES...140 KM...SOUTH OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA.
 
JULIO IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHWEST NEAR 14 MPH...22 KM/HR.
THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE WITH A DECREASE IN
FORWARD SPEED DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.  ON THE FORECAST
TRACK...THE CENTER OF JULIO IS EXPECTED TO MOVE NEAR OR OVER THE
SOUTHERN BAJA CALIFORNIA PENINSULA THIS AFTERNOON OR TONIGHT.
 
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 40 MPH...65 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS.  SOME STRENGTHENING IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.
 
TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 85 MILES...140 KM
FROM THE CENTER.
 
ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1005 MB...29.68 INCHES.
 
JULIO IS EXPECTED TO PRODUCE TOTAL RAINFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4
INCHES OVER THE SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL BAJA PENINSULA...WITH ISOLATED
MAXIMUM AMOUNTS OF 6 INCHES POSSIBLE.
 
REPEATING THE 500 AM PDT POSITION...21.9 N...109.8 W.  MOVEMENT
TOWARD...NORTH-NORTHWEST NEAR 14 MPH.  MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...40
