SATELLITE IMAGERY INDICATES THAT NICHOLAS IS SOMEWHAT TO THE SOUTH
OF THE PREVIOUS ADVISORY POSITION.
 
AT 5 AM AST...0900Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM NICHOLAS WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 18.4 NORTH...LONGITUDE  53.9 WEST OR ABOUT
520 MILES...835 KM...EAST OF THE NORTHERN LEEWARD ISLANDS.
 
NICHOLAS IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR  9 MPH...15 KM/HR.  A TURN
TOWARD THE NORTHWEST IS EXPECTED LATER TODAY.
 
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED TO NEAR  40 MPH... 65
KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE CURRENTLY
